Having rested in Nusa Penida it’s a wonderful pastime full of harmony and new impressions. Are you ready to stop the moment and plunge into your thoughts in front of the ocean, sit on the edge of the cliff, spend your time in a heavenly beautiful peaceful beach, and visit a lush green hill? It’s time to travel along the East coast of Nusa Penida.
Teletubbies Hill
Teletubbies Hill (also known as Bukit Teletubbies) is a bit different from anything else Nusa Penida has to offer, even though it’s an island full of bizarre and unique sights!. The location is in Tanglad Village and it has become a good alternative to enjoy family recreation and relaxation. The most common reason to visit the hill is none other than trekking. The landscapes have different difficulties, so tourists can choose the right route to enjoy hiking. Some others come to the hill for photography, actually. They come to the site and conduct exploration for better photos.
The key to enjoying this viewpoint is to come here during or just after the rainy season when the hills will be a perfect green color. That would be between the months of December and April. Between April and May, the hills are a more yellow color. During the summer, the hills will be dry and brown, so they won’t look as nice.
Rumah Pohon Tree House
Have you ever wanted to sleep in a wooden treehouse and wake up to the sounds of the ocean? Here’s where you can do it. The room and bed are very basic, but the views and location are out of this world.
You’ll fall asleep to the sound of geckos chirping in the trees, and wake up to an incredible sunrise over the Raja Lima islands, with dolphins and manta rays swimming and jumping in the distance.
Thousand Islands Viewpoint
The viewpoint is one of the attractions on the island and looks along the beautiful coast of Nusa Penida. It is spectacular on its own but at sunrise it’s ridiculous. Definitely plan on doing this as no Nusa Penida itinerary is complete without doing so.
Diamond Beach
Once you’ve visited Thousand Island Viewpoint, head over to Diamond Beach! It’s a short 5-minute bike ride away and is definitely one of the best beach places to visit in Bali. Diamond Beach on Nusa Penida island is now open to the public. The stairway only takes a few minutes to reach the bottom but the stairway alone makes this place worth visiting.
Diamond Beach is near two other attractions on Nusa Penida that we highly recommend. Atuh Beach is to the left of Diamond Beach and Thousand Island Viewpoint is to the right. These would all make your top things to do on Nusa Penida so we highly recommend visiting them all on the same day as they are conveniently located.
Atuh Beach
Atuh Beach is a white-sand beach on top of a cliff is the view on probably the most beautiful beach in the whole of Bali. Take advantage of that sweet weather on Nusa Penida and just laze at Atuh Beach. Grab a beer, take some cool pictures, and let the world go by. This is one of the nicest beaches on the East of Penida island.
