5 Gorgeous Waterfalls in Bali You Don’t Want to Skip

The beauty of Bali is not simply limited to the crystal-clear blue water and breathtaking sunsets. With social media circling around, the trend of visiting waterfalls becomes a great-deals-to-do when you’re in Bali. Countless gorgeous waterfalls are spread all over the island. But we’ve curated some of the best that are worth your time to visit, at least once during your vacation days in Bali.

Before we jump to the locations, let’s take a look at these points to prepare yourself in advance.

  • The best time to go to the waterfall sites in Bali is around April to June. The weather would be sunny almost all the time, and the water would be less murky. So you can expect to get clear water with a hint of greenish reflection behind your camera lens, thanks to the green scenery around the waterfalls.
  • The best time to come is around 8 AM. At most places, you’ll need to walk meters before reaching the site, so it’s better to take the walk before the sun at the prime top of your head to avoid the extra heat.
  • Don’t forget to bring your eco-friendly sunblock and mosquito repellent.
  • Bring bottled water, because you can’t ever drink from the waterfalls right away.
  • Don’t litter! Please bring back your belonging, including your trash, to keep the environment clean.

Now let’s jump to the waterfalls!

Tibumana Waterfall

Tibumana Waterfalls is located in Bangli, approximately 30 minutes away from the Ubud Center. This gorgeous waterfall might be not the highest one, but it definitely worth your time to get to your must-see list while you’re in the Ubud area. You need to hike for at least 15 minutes to reach the waterfall. But we’re sure you won’t get bored at all because this waterfall is surrounded by tropical lush green jungle which will be a great chance for you to relax.

The pool around the waterfall is safe for you to swim around. But make sure to not go closer to the waterfall flow, because the flow is strong and could be dangerous for you. This place is also quite famous among travelers, so you want to come as early as possible to avoid the tourist crowd, or the lines while taking your Instagram-able pictures.

Located in Gianyar, you only need 25 minutes to reach this destination from the heart of Ubud. It’s safe to go under the waterfall and take countless pictures there. You need at least 3 hours to visit all of those three waterfalls on walking.
